The State
A coastal city and a county that keeps going
Barkley is an island state with one coastal city and a wide county beyond it.
City of Santa Marina
The primary city. White stucco, clay‑tile roofs and arched windows in the Spanish Revival style, built into hills.
County of Monterra
A vast, busy county of vineyards and back roads, patrolled by the Sheriff's Office.

Departments
Wear the badge or the helmet
Each department is its own team in game and its own Roblox group. Request to join the group to be hired.
Barkley Highway Patrol
State highways and traffic enforcement across the island.
Santa Marina Police Department
City patrol and calls inside Santa Marina.
Monterra County Sheriff's Office
Law enforcement across the county outside city limits.
Santa Marina Fire & Rescue
Fire response and first aid on civilian and automated calls.
Barkley Department of Transportation
Keeps the roads moving.
Emergencies: dial 911 from any pay phone on the island. Every emergency frequency hears the call.

Or keep your own hours
Not every living comes with a uniform.
Own a business
Run a player‑owned shop with its own bank account, staff and ranks, registered with the Barkley Business Bureau.
Deliver for PPS
Parts Per Second, the island's courier. Packages pay.
Bank at Barkley Federal
Deposit, withdraw and manage your cash at any branch or ATM.
Stay fed
Hunger and thirst count. Grab something at the Donut Shop.
Visit the barber
Your hair and beard are saved between visits.
Carry legally
Buy and customize firearms at the gun store. Break the law and you'll serve time in game.

Before you spawn in
Is the game finished?
No. Barkley is in beta. Expect changes, and report bugs or feedback in the communications server.
Where are the rules and change logs?
Both are posted in the communications server.
How do I join a department?
Request to join the department's Roblox group. Once accepted, clock in at the station.
What happens if I'm arrested?
You're moved to the Incarcerated team until your sentence runs out. Jail time only counts while you're in game, and fines come out of your bank account.
Can I help build the game?
Yes. Volunteers can help structure departments and develop the game. Ask in the communications server.
